• Summer Internship Program 

Ladders for Leaders will not only connect students with professional employment but also provide job readiness training and guidance throughout the employment process. Students will learn how to obtain employment, conduct themselves in a professional manner, value time commitments, money management and develop workplace skills.

Eligibility Requirements

• 80% COMPLETION OF LADDERS FOR LEADERS UNIVERSITY – 8 hours combined total of webinars (live or on-demand) plus in-person –SEE MORE INFO HOW TO ACCESS ON-DEMAND VIDEOS CLICK HERE  (DUE 5/15) 
• Between the ages of 16-18
• Currently enrolled in High School
• Competitive G.P.A.
• Must attend signing day – June 6, 2024
• Responsible for transportation to and from worksite
• Be a resident of Austin or surrounding areas
• Must attend the end of program reception on July 18, 2024
• Must participate in a fundraiser during the internship

Note:   Graduating Seniors are eligible to apply

Internship opportunities are available with local business partners in various industries. The 2024 programs will run from June 10, 2024 – July 19, 2024.  Students will be compensated (~$12/hour) during the internship and will work at least 20 hours per week.  Employers and Interns may choose to extend the internship beyond six weeks.
